Travel north to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's first great capital. Visit the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree and giant dagobas, then continue east to Trincomalee.
Enjoy Trincomalee's turquoise waters and Koneswaram Temple on Swami Rock, with optional snorkelling at Pigeon Island, before driving to Sigiriya.
Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning and explore the golden Dambulla Cave Temple in the afternoon.
